I have been worrying so much about my daughter. I think I've been seeing BP type actions in her. She will be really happy and then all the sudden be upset and crying for no reason. I don't know what to do. I plan on taking her to a Pdoc, but I don't know if she's too young to be DX. I'm so scared that she is going to have to grow up dealing with this same illness. Maybe if she's dx young, though she'll be better able to manage it when she's older. Anyone have young children who have been dx, or suspect that they may be BP? I'm really worried and just need some advice, or someone to tell me that I"m just being paraniod....

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I grew up BP and wasn't diagnosed until I was 26. I think BP diagnosis and treatment is easier to deal with as an adult
I worry about this issue also. Although I know those things Junggl said, it's still hard not to worry when you see your child act a certain way - even when they are doing what they are supposed to at that age (i.e. throwing tantrums).
At least, you have the opportunity to teach your children well. So, what is your problem? They'll grow up great, with you as a parent. Understanding BP is half the battle.
