I just finished reading A Terry Pratchett novel called Carpe Jugulum. I swear I never laughed so hard in my life. For an hour I even forgot about my physical pain. His novels are completely absurd, but at the same time you can recognize aspects of many of the characters in his books, in people you know. I bet many people who read the series can say the know someone who is a bit like Granny Weatherwax, Nanny (Gytha) Ogg, Commander Vimms, or God help us even Nobby. Laughter makes us realize that there are things worth living for. Plus it makes us feel good, while not being illegal.

I make myself laugh sometimes, or at least smile. It helps. But I like illegal stuff too :P

Laughter however costs nothing, and don't mess up your brain.

I love to laugh and when I'm "normal" put myself in positions and events of a cheerful nature. I also love to hear children laugh.

I love humor and laughter

Oh yes, LOVE to laugh!! Love to read too - sounds like a fun book. Been forever since I read a book for fun! Hard to focus lately (been off ADD meds for a few years, considering going back on).

I had a pretty good laugh tonite watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. I really needed it.

I definately had to get a sense of humor with this chemical imbalance that I live with everyday.

I agree...laughing always makes me feel good. When something just makes me laugh really hard, I always feel better! Fortunatly if I need to laugh really hard I just have to look at myself naked...then I burst into laughter for plenty enough time to make me feel better...(LOL That was supposed to be funny)

ThomasB : I know what you mean about the mirror. I had to stop looking in one while naked, because I'd laugh so hard my siblings started to think I was off my rocker.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
