These past months have been hectic. I had to go inpatient twice for depression then I had an episode I have never had before. My doc put me on a different antidepressant. By the end of the first week I was unable to finish sentences well, I kept losing my train of thought. By week two I was stumbling around and calling things the wrong name. I drove my roommate crazy! I tried to cook with my coffee cup and swore it was a frying pan. I didn't sleep much. I kept trying to get him to go places in the middle of the night. I thought three guys were following me and out to get me. By week three I was seeing things and people who were not there. One day I spent 30 minutes putting imaginary gallons of milk into the backseat of my car. No one could talk me into going to the hospital. finally my son called and I have no idea what he said but I agreed to go to the ER. while in the ER I argued with the doctor because he was keeping me from getting the live chickens out of my purse....I don't carry a purse! All of this I know because my family told me about the incidences. I have no memory of any of it. I guess they medicated me cause I slept the first two day in the unit. When I finally got up I had no idea why I was there but within a week they were able to let me come home. Needless to say I stopped the new medication and am now on two new ones and doing great. The doctor said I was really too old to get schizophrenia. I guess he decided it was a psychotic episode possibly due to the med. I am so glad to be stable again and have missed everyone. I have some catching up to do lol. Has anyone else ever had this happen and I pray it doesn't happen again. If I had still been working It would have ruined me! well, that's too long already. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. Love to you all!!

A week and a half in treatment and this morning I'm telling myself it's a dream. I'm here with my kiddo telling myself that over and over again just to be present. That's a dream. All of it. The need for treatment and the things we are processing or not processing. Things just linger in the air and I feel like I need it to rain just so everything will settle.
