Hi!! 6 months ago I made the decision to get off anxiety medication. I felt ready, life was good! A few weeks after my last dosage, I developed diarrhea. Long story short and after a colonoscopy a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis. Im taking medication which is helping but with the stress of going through this, working from home a year now (due to covid) and not being...

I have neurological conditions, and mood stabilizers make my muscle stiffness worse to the point that I can't get back into my wheelchair after trying lamotrigine, then Seroquel, then Abilify. Then I fired my psychiatrist after he tried to get me to withdraw from Ativan before I stabilized on a mood stabilizer. So while on the waiting list to see a new psychiatrist, I have to use my family...
I just posted a Topic....it's raining like holy jeez outside...and rain triggers me BIG time.
Has to do with a flood warning and evacuation a few years back.
I am so far north, that the lack of light really bothers me. I am looking forward to moving back closer to the 49th parallel, and having more light than 6 hours a day in Dec and Jan.
Also with rain I have always loved rain. That might sound strange I guess but as a child I played in the rain a lot and heck even as an adult I've played in it. :) But I wouldn't play in it during winter or fall that is a little insane. To me nothing is more soothing than the sound of rain.
But I love sun too! :) Nothing like a hot day as long as you're at the beach or swimming pool! Guess I'm a little water baby, I love water I grew up on a sail boat (during the week ends). An experience I can't share with my kids (sail boats are expensive).
Maybe I don't like wind though. I use to as a child but now my ears can't take it. I wear a hood over my head no matter how worm it is, I'm just a bit finicky that way.
However warmer weather and the smell of Spring triggers some memories for me, I would rather forget some time.
Why stay somewhere if it is going to get you down?
Get a light box I guess. Candles are always good. Walking in liquid sunshine is greaat, where I come from there are a zillion ways to do the weather report and say about the rain and 1500 types of rain coats.
People hve more smiles on their faces then anywhere else. I would move to a sunnier climate if the raininess got you down. Phoenic outlying areas are cheap and really dry.
