Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I am upping the meds as I write. Gawd it takes a long time to be that happy in the middle person with emotions that happen at a normal earthly level.
Bipolar is more like Pollyanna...the world is wonderful, beautiful; you have boundary issues, you do things you know you shouldn't because they can lead to heavy consequences, you get in trouble, you feel bummed to the hilt, and then one day everything is all hunky dory again.
Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde are opposite sorts. People w/bipolar have a huge range of emotions and feel them all intensely. If I knew someone who thought of themselves as Dr.Jekyl/Mr.Hyde, I would suspect borderline personality disorder or schizophrenia, IMHO.
