i know that with bipolar you can be up for days without sleep. I dont have that issue as i am bipolar II. My issue is insomnia... i have the hardest time getting to sleep and staying asleep. I feel like jumping out of my skin and cant ever get comfortable. I itch everywhere and my clothing irritates me. My pillow and blanket have to be in just the right place. It feels like i am manic..I also have to sleep alone (without my boyfriend) I get so distracted by him -----I just toss a turn like a flopping fish before i drift off to sleep.. which is usually an hour to four hrs after laying down. my mind races and i literallty feel hyper and exausted at the same time. It is so annoying and the only med that helps it klonopin which the doctors dont give me due to previous drug problem (they say its extremely addictive). So i quess my question is do a lot of bp-II or bpI people experience these sensations before rest. ?? I wish i could feel well with little rest but i need it or i turn into basket case. thanks for your responses.. gecko
