Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm going to try going to this "real life" bipolar support group on Wednesday evening.
I've never gone to one, so I have no idea what to expect.
If it's as wild as this group here on DS, I'm a little scared... hehe
Have any of you been to a group in person... if so, what was your experience? (I'm just curious.)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
There was one one town over it wasn't as wild as here but very friendly and tons of info and support!
though i have one friend my age who goes, so at least there'll be her.
there's a "young persons" meeting the next town over, I might give that a try, too.
NOTHING like this thank God. More serious.
It's a real weird atmosphere.
Never again.
and i do hate being interrupted
With the depression group, of the six ppl there were like 4 Bps and the problem with that was that the people who were "only depressed" could not talk about being on meds and having hospital visits.
search meetup.com - these are not facilitated by a professional. These are just people meeting.
luckily, thanks to my really good local bipolar friend, i already know where there are about 6 support groups within reasonable driving distance.
i have to say that AA irritates me.
i hope this group is not like AA. (no offense)
