Being so new to this I was wondering if alot of you experience impulse control? The reason I ask this is because I was dx with BD II, I thought I had a clinical food addiction and could not control my eating. I know this is more of a symptom of BPD however I also know unsafe acts (driving, spending, etc) are symptoms of BD.
Do any of you have food addiction problems too?
I also feel I struggle with somewhat of a sexual addiction - I think about sex all the time, want it all the time - even became obsessed with toy websites for a while.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Once I gained 8 kilos (roughly 16 pounds I think) in 1 month. The following month I gained 2 more kgs.
Then I busted my arse at the gym for 8 weeks and lost 10 kgs.... only to gain 6 back a few months later.
AUGHHHHHHhhhhhHHHHHHhhhhhh
Chocolate....my best friend...my worst enemy
It's hard and it sucks because you feel like you can never have any fun or anything good.
If only I could get addicted to cleaning!!
My life is beyond boring.
I can be sooo good and then I'll blow $100 on chocolates and chips. Money disappears in food because it 'feels' like a necessity.
I can go to the store and see rows of DVDs I want but because I don't really 'need' them it's easier (sometimes) to talk myself out of blowing my budget. When it comes to food however, well I "NEED" food don't I. So what if it's $20 of cherry ripe I've got to eat, right?
I've always just thought I had an addictive personality. I never really connected it as a fact of BP but I guess the relationship is there. There are things I've learnt to avoid (drugs, alcohol, smoking, gambling) because I know I'd have a problem with them. But food... *sighs* Can't avoid that completely.
Avoiding sex is unfortunately not by choice. I don't sleep with anything that moves so I don't see a problem being addicted to sex except that I guess I'm constantly frustrated. It's never enough. 11 orgasms? "Please sir, I want some more." lol
So impulse control is just a wee bit out of wack.
