My insurance is about to be discontinued. I can't afford the premium. It's a cobra plan and the first payment is $600. To get on the the state insurance takes 30 days to determine eligibility. I have enough meds for about 3 weeks. Does any one know where you can get your meds without insurance ? My psychiatrist doesn't give samples. Thank you for your suggestions.

Are there any mental health clinics in your area that work with patients without insurance on a sliding scale fee based upon your income? Call and check with your local health dept. Best of luck to you, I am in the same boat. Do not let yourself run out of meds either, it can be very dangerous.

Go by Walmart and get their $5 drug list. Have you pdoc write your RX exactly like it shows on the list. You will get your meds for $5. I had my pdoc change my antidepressant to one on the list. HEB also has a $5 plan. I take lithium caps and celexa they are both on the list

Like padsmom said, do not let yourself run out. When I was in my own situation, I wrote to the company ( pfizer for example ) and they sent free medication for a year to my doc's office to administer to mee free of charge. The Walmart thing is also a good idea and I know this may sound stupid but there are these commercials with Montel Williams talking about help with RX maybe google that. Wish you the best.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
