I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Seems like the Top life stressors are: Moving, broken relationship/divorce, death of a loved one or job change.
Consider them major bumps in our BP highway ... and swerve to avoid!
:)
I call my pharmacisit all the time ,they have tons of info ,on drug interactions, and if some drugs counteract each other.
Did you know that while taking most antidepressants, and some antiphyc meds...you should not drink graprfruit juice!!
A phar. told me that.......
not that many people even LIKE grapefruit juice...just interesting info!
I guess maybe try to look at it this way...75mg of Effexor is a fairly low dose compared to the max. 300mg of Lithium is also a low dose. The usual therapeutic dose is 1,200mg a day. 300mg of Seroquel is a pretty good dose for now, but it's a med that, if you're using it for sleep, it will have to be increased ever so often. This isn't true of all people, but as my nurse told me, is the norm for most. It's a good med, though, or is for me, anyway. Prozac and Klonopin? I dunno, really. I am also on two antidepressants and an anti anxiety medication.
Here's what I think...IF these drugs are working for you, then no, it isn't too much. I take Seroquel 600mg, Wellbutrin 150mg, Paxil 40mg, Depakote 1,500mg, BuSpar 30mg, and am supposed to have Vistril also. Then I also take Prilosec and Minocycline, which aren't psych meds, but still, in combination with the psych meds, its a lot.
Keep an open mind and test your psych's decision. If they still don't cut it, you definitely need something else...possibly meds taken away and new ones added. But yeah, just give it a try. Your psych is supposed to know what she's doing lol...supposed to know. If this change doesn't work, he/she will get things lined out for you.
Take care! Feel better soon, I hope!
400g tegretol retard
20mg chordiazepoxide
125mg amitriptyline
and that is what keeps me up and running, the doctor tried to nock some off but everytime i hit rock bottom again, and he say I am to take these meds the rest of my life.
down to 200 effexor (wee hee) but up to 1000 lithium (boo) ad hoc the other perhaps 3/4 a week..you got a lot or diff sorts - have u had it explained to you what each is for? any why the combination? Id ask, a reason will stop you worrying...
I could suggest research your drugs on the internet find out a bit more about them before you next go - you`ll understand her explanation better and can challenge any unanswered questions..
