I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Some people are good at covering it up and not even be aware they are doing it. (that was me) Some learned coping skills that helpd them deal with it naturaly. The channel the mania into positive activities and only the deperession shows, so they get a depression diagnosis instead of BP
Early detection can also be hard for teens. The line between teen angst and BP can be very thin.
It is all very subective.
People are different...and usually it takes something traumatic to bring it out (I think). That's what it was for me anyway.
Not sure the symptoms are the same for everyone and I am more than sure that there are different degree's of it.
While we were talking I mentioned that I wondered how I would be after i recovered form depression because I seem to change everytime. Her head snapped up and she said "how do you mean change?" and the ball got rolling from there.
Bipolar 2.
7 years ago, a family doc prescribed me anti-depressants. I tried several different kinds, none of which seemed to help. Now I hear from the doc that diagnosed me as BP2 that anti-depressants are the worst thing for a BP to take. The can make your already disordered moods spiral out of control.
I dx myself off the internet funny enough, googled depression last year in june an BP came up read all the symtoms and thought geez that is so me. Went to my GP and showed him, he agreed and got me in to see a pdoc asap for a proper Dx.
Im just glad I have finally found out what the hell was wrong with me my whole life and can be treated and find some form of normality.
Praise the lord :))
It's a black hole though for me and I try facing forwards. That's hard enough
