My parent's in law are strict southern Baptists and actually believe all diseases are from the devil. I am so sick of dealing with their ignorance. In fact, a lot of people are just plain ignorant about the disease and the stigma is awful. I just tell them that I have a chemical imbalance in my brain which requires medication and it's no different from having diabetes.... it must be treated. Does anybody have any better answers that have worked for you?
