Well, don't holler till your hurt!! It may turn out to go much better than you think and yes, it may turn out to be even worse. But that remains to be seen!!
Freaking out about it ahead of time will stress you out now and leave you with that much less ability to cope with it when it comes to pass.
I think that's a good idea, planning ahead to be out of the situation as much as possible. Make a list of things you can do to make the 2 week visit (and, boy!!! That IS quite long enough!!!) go as smoothly as possible for yourself, to be out of the house as much as possible or as removed from the company within the house or whatever. If you can get a decent, solid plan in place, it will likely reduce your stress level. Working on some concrete plans now will probably calm you down by making you feel more empowered and in control.
Actually it's the FIL that's the problem not my MIL.
Giggle!!! I almost added 'slow, deep breaths' in my post!!!
I know that when I start getting very anxious about upcoming horrors, I tend to give in to that shallow, fast breathing, which is NOT conducive to feeling calm and/or relaxed!!!!
By all means, do the breathing into the bag trick!!!! Do ANYTHING which will settle you down a bit right now!!!!
Don't worry about it.
Not your fault they are coming.
