Hi I am new here but unfortunately not new at suffering through hell known as my life. I need help finding a psychiatrist that is not a county/state doctor. After years and years of being neglected by government care, I need to try a private doctor. I don't have insurance. But am willing to pay a reasonable amount for good care. How much should I expect to pay? How do I go about finding a doctor that might be willing to help. Things keep getting worse and worse for me, I actually had to call in to work yesterday explaining that I was at the peak of a manic episode and that I wouldn't be able to function at work... weird I know, normally manic episodes are great for work. Cannabis helps with the extremes but it would be nice to find a treatment that keeps me from experiencing the extremes. I am lucky that I have a roommate who is going to force me to stay on my medicine routine. We made it part of the living arrangement that I need to find a doc and stay on meds w/o question. Otherwise I have to move out. So I am giving seeing a pdoc one more chance. Just this time I want to see a doc who might actually really give a shit instead of some government employee who gets their check either way.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
