I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I've been on Lamictal a number of years and it's probably one of the best mood stabilizers on the market that doesn't cause weight gain!! Yay! Just remember to titrate up slowly. Some people get the rash I'm sure you heard about. So be vigilant and pay attention.
I hope you can get your life back Marie. Glad you're here! Hugs!
Once i had a baby in my dream that wouldnt shut up.
I dreamt i was on Jepordy.
weird stuff.
I was diagnosed about 18 months ago and was immediately put on Lamictal and Seroquel. I started feeling better right away, although I wasn't sleeping much back before that, so it may have just been the Seroquel, at first!!
I really do well on the Lamictal. I experienced no side effects and most of my hyponess went away and it really helped lessen my hypersexuality, for the most part. It doesn't seem to have as much effect on my 'downs', though.
I did, after some time have to have my dosage upped and the Pdoc wanted to up it again at my last visit but I didn't want to, because I was having a moderately severe problem with hair loss, which can be rare side effect. But I'm really not sure if that's due to the Lamictal. It's rare enough that the Pdoc didn't even realize that it was a possible side effect. (It was WAY down there in that mountain of paperwork that comes with the meds.) But I tend to lose hair as a response to stress and I've been under a lot lately, so it may be due to that. So, I started taking a whole bunch of OTC stuff that the Pdoc recommended and the hair loss has pretty much stopped, so I think I'm going to go for the higher dose of Lamictal when I see him in early November.
I AM having a tougher time lately, but it's pretty much situational.
I'm very happy with the help I get from Lamictal and I hope it works great for YOU, too!!!!
Good luck with everything!!! How horrible that you've gone through this for so long without any help and/or relief!!!!! I hope wonderful times await you and that you get your life back!!!!
Take care!!!!
