With the Omaha shooting, I'm wondering:
Have you ever been violent or do you have a propensity for violence?
As a young man, I played rugby and football and other violent sports. I wouldn't back down from fights. In fact, I'd waltz right into them. A huge guy picked on my brother in college and I tore him apart. I never started anything, but I had a temper and a but of an attitude.
I'm not proud of this. Every time I got that angry, I don't know whether it was the adrenaline or what, but I'd crash for a week after.
I've mellowed alot. Also, I haven't had more than a beer or two at a sitting in years and years. Alcohol does indeed make people violent.
Have you ever been violent or do you know any violent people? Do you know any folks who you think might do something like what happened at that mall?
How have you dealt with anger/violence issues?
In my case, I'm more thoughtful, older and wiser.

I am violent when I get into a mixed episode or rage. It's something I try to control. I destroyed my apt once and threw the vacume cleaner overhead down the hallway. I have been physical with my husband so having a baby scares the hell outta me.

Before meds, I had a nasty temper that I took out on my second husband. I don't remember ever physically hurting him, but I was a real bitch when it came to verbal violence. I am glad, for his sake, my sake, and the sake of our three kids, that we do not live together anymore.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
