Journaling is a common practice. Not only does it help the physician, it also helps the patient especially when reading a day or two later. I keep one written as well as one on here. It definitely does not hurt to write what you are feeling and how you are feeling. Follow your doctor's advise and see what happens. If you see no benefit after the first few weeks, then stop.

It helps me. I often can't tell one day from the next or forget when I felt bad or forget I even did feel bad...they all blur into a fuzzy haze. I like to look at the pattern those smiley faces make although I'm a terrible judge about what is good and what is really bad. I think it's getting easier to tell now though. I have a firmer basis of comparison.

They forced me to do that in the phosp. God was I bored.

Writing in a journal really helped me get to know my feelings, moods each day, helped in my relationship with God because I write my prayers down, helped me to see that I need to live one day at a time.

I know we don't do Political on this Board...But damn it feels good to know we have a Sane Man in the Presidency and an intelligent Woman in the Vice Presidency, ready to uphold America's Democracy and actually "Lead", not turn it into a Dictatorship or worry about who's in control of the codes that command our Nuclear Missiles! I personally breathed a very, very big sigh of relief today and am...
