I remember reading a post on here the other day, I cannot remember who's post it was.
Anyway, they said that their psychiatrist had told them to come to this site for help.
Anyone else think that's a bit off?
I mean, his/her psychiatrist will be getting paid God knows how much, and yet she's shunting (wrong word) his/her patients onto people who are also struggling with this illness?
I love this place, and have made a few friends, and gotten some good support. But surely that doesn't mean that doctors should just be 'turfing' all their patients here?
I have a massive feeling the point I'm trying to make will not come across in this post. My brain is empty.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
it wasnt my post, but ths site is far more helpful than my docs.

I feel sorry for that little girl in the top left of the screen. She's so young, and yet she's on DailyStrength for some purpose.
I wonder what the matter is?
She's in the hypothermia section.
I'm going to message King Doug RE: adoption. I want to keep her.
If a doctors reccomends this site to one of their patients, I'm sure all they want is for their patient to find some sort of help in addition to the treatment they are giving them. One reason why docotrs are so helpful, aside from the obvious fact that they can prescribe you meds and therapy, is that they have a plethora of information and resources available to them. All a person has to do is ask for it. So if a perason is feeling down, why not reccomend a website that is helpful?
A few weeks ago went I went to see my doc, she asked me what I've been doing to help me stay stable since going off my meds. I told her about DS and how helpful it was, and she jotted it down on a piece of paper so she could reccomend it to other patients. And she should, because part of her job is finding and reccomending helpful resources to her patients. This is a great site and that's probably why so many doctors are reccommending it. They heard through the grapevine how good it was, so the only logical thing to do would be to share that information.
