I'm pretty sure my 12 yr old girl is bi-polar. Her moods are unpredictable and unable to control. She had been on meds, but they just didn't seem to help a whole lot. I took her off of them and now, everything is back. Trying to get her into a Psych, but waiting lists are longer than ever. Any suggestions on how to handle her temper trantrums? It seems as though I am the only who can calm her down. As soon as I calm her down, she's fine, acts as though nothing ever happened. Is this normal? How do you get other people to understand that she can't control her actions and yelling at her does absolutely no good?
