The book is called "Stop Walking On Eggshells". I do not recall the author but it was easy to find at the bookstore in the mall. It is for family and friends of those that suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder, but works very well with Bipolar issues, since both have many of the same symptoms and signs. It helped my family alot when they were at their wits end. A good read for BP'ers and BPD'ers.
