Hi there,
I have noticed throughout my life that preachers and people in general either teach or understand God differently - in a large number of cases incorrectly as well.
Yeah, us BP's do suffer from a horrible condition of imbalance in brain chemistry. Some more than others, dependent on the severity.
I am not sure if you consider yourself a Christian or just believe in another type of god or higher power.
One of the greatest things I have learned in my life is that God is the potter and we are the CLAY. We are who we are, strengths, weaknesses and everything else. But one of the amazing things about you and I is that God loves us no matter what. Yeah, we are pretty screwed up but in the midst of it all we can do something that makes a difference.
Most people do not understand me, including my wife and that is okay. We make it through somehow and for that I am thankful. God has a purpose for your life and for mine.
You have been given talents, gifts and abilities. God has given these things to you for a purpose and that purpose is others... It is so easy for me to get my focus off of the big picture and onto myself b/c of this condition I have.
The greatest joy can be found in the giving of ourselves to our families, friends and those who need us. Loving our neighbors as ourselves, or how we should love ourselves... doing unto others as we want them to do to us... remaining meek, gentle and realizing that we are really just on this earth, the first time around, of a very short spell.
The greatest hope we can have is to know that we have a definite hope in the return of Y'shua (Jesus) and those of us who have heard the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Good News!) and about the things concerning Y'shua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ or Messiah) and who live a life of consecration to God will one day ""RECEIVE"" a new glorified body like Y'shua's and we will suffer no more. We will be raised from the dead to a new life that will last forever in the Kingdom of God and His Son.
This is our hope. Paul the Apostle mentioned that nothing can compare to the future glory to be revealed for us and in us. Not these present sufferings, and every human being does suffer some way. We just have to remember that if we hold fast our faith, no matter what, that at the end of this age when Y'shua returns we will know no more suffering, tears, depression, mania or insanity!! Praise God for that!
Please know, God is not testing you. He is not a God of suffering and He did not create Adam (Garden of Eden) Bipolar and insane. Adam chose to sin and disobey, knowing the consequences of his actions and thus his seed (offspring) has propagated the fruit of all humanity and we are under his Adamic curse (sin nature and live in a fallen body). I hate my sin nature and all the other junk I have allowed into my life from times past till today. But I realize that what has already happened has passed away. The best thing I can do is live in this moment, this 24 hours and focus on that.
I cannot control things past or even my future but only the things alloted to me each moment that are within my control. What happens is going to happen and that is out of my control. But the main thing I focus on is what I can control and when I feel weak I pray to my God, read the scriptures and sing praise and worship to Him. These things help me and comfort me, knowing it isn't all about Scott, it is about God's plan for men and women.
No we are not perfect by any means, but God uses the imperfect things of this world to confound the wise. That is the glory of it, because then people see and know that it is God doing it and we are just the vessel He has chosen to use to bring it about.
I would highly recommend a very wonderful website to you that has helped me understand many things. It is www.restorationfellowship.org
I was lost most of my Christian life and really didn't understand God...
I am learning more everyday about Him and about my life.
There is hope for us, and we have a promise of a new life in the age to come when Y'shua returns. Until then though, we must fight, push, and muster all the strength we can to live and love God and His ways. I want to make it and i know i will miss it a lot because of my condition and nature. But guess what? God knows we are going to miss it too.. and we have a way to get forgiveness, through repentance of our sinful ways. He is willing and wants to forgive, all we have to do is ask.
I would love to minister to you or anyone who does not know what the Gospel of the Kingdom is and the things concerning Y'shua my Lord and Saviour.
One of the greatest things we need to realize is that God has a plan and it will come to pass. When? We do not know but we have the faith to know that it will and this is our strength and our hope while in this cruel world.
May you be at peace and may grace be with you and your family...
I am always here for you - you are very precious in HIS sight...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Are you manic? I feel that way when I am manic.
Today I feel there is a thorn in my side and I am trying to figure out why my G-d will not remove it.
- bl00dym1lkman - this is my "handle" online and I also use it playing CS..- I like it and it is what I use - of course I am used to people tripping out on it b/c I am a minister - but ... I am sure you will be okay sooner or later...
I share my faith, that is what I do... if you like what I discuss great - if not - it is really not necessary to reply... unless you "need to be heard" -
"Gotta love when people go on tangents and purport to know the unknowable."
Actually everything I have discussed can be found in the scriptures and faith I believe in. If it is "unknowable" then how could I "know" what it was... LOL

Tell you what preacher man, get god to get me a comfortable life, where i can be stable, and I'll personally tithe to your church, I'll even be a deacon! Till then preach to the choir, they might listen
"Please know, God is not testing you. He is not a God of suffering and He did not create Adam (Garden of Eden) Bipolar and insane. God would like to remove suffering, but must wait.
I truly belive when I draw closer to God, it allows Him to ease the suffering. When I stray from God the pain returns, not as punishment.
My analogy machine is broken, so I can't think of one.
If your faith gives you purpose then please continue to believe as that is part of the fabric that is your safty net and your support system.

If one had knowledge, then it automatically negates faith...you don't need the latter if you have the former....as far as using scripture a your source of knowledge, you are relying on a man-made piece of literature...also purporting to know the unknowable.
Now, about the content of his words:
They are awfully generic to anyone who might be familiar with the Bible.
It was a relief to note that the writer refrains from the typical rant about God being evil that He somehow finds joy in punishment and revenge.
The essential flaw of the RestorationFellowship teachings is that, while they speak incessantly about concepts concerning the Gospel of the Kingdom, they fail miserably in properly comprehending it. It reminds of say, if you were to catch a glimpse of a book on a library shelf titled, The Lost Train. The title has an enticing ring to it. But the truth is: its rather delusional to subscribe to such an idea because a train can never become lost in any real sense after all, its entire journey is committed to a set of steel rails. In the same way, a lot of the teachings behind Anthony Buzzard and those like him appear at first glance to be somewhat inviting but the pursuit of them expose their erroneous underpinnings in short time.
It has been nearly thirty years now that I have been studying theology and a large majority of that time has been very preoccupied with the term Gospel of the Kingdom and others similar. The very premise of my WebSite over the past five years has been primarily discussing that single term. And, so it is certainly not foreign to me. But the peculiar interpretations subscribed to by Blizzard/RestorationFellowship are not something I find consistent to the Scriptures nor profitable to a spiritual existence.
Pastor Scott take your religion and try to influence someone else... it cuts shit, here! Sorry, I'm an old timer on this site with little patience! Pedal your religion some place else!
it's ok for each of us to have our own opinions on faith (although there are certain truths that have to be accepted to be saved)but why do we all feel the need to tear down someone else's strength and comfort?
maybe it's that silly sin nature we all have, hmm?
Buggy: you are right about one thing, faith is not simple. True faith in God is believing in Him without proof. it is hard to have faith in aything without proof that it is right. we as humans struggle with that daily. and you know what, God created that in us too. He wants us to have a brain and question things. He wants us to question everything we hear and read. To turn to Him and His word and check it there. a relationship with God is like no other. I wish that everyone will find their own relationship with Him.
