But ,just meeting someone tonight ,and professing love so soon,is just setting yourself up for heart break.

I think there's advantages and disadvantages to being with another BP. Just as there is with being with a norm.
If you go from just meeting and falling in love that quickly, though, it is highly unlikely that the relationship will work out, long term.
It's that tendency to instantly fall in love that you need to address.
Have you ever tried therapy/counseling for that?

I think go for it. I'm ditto am sick of being alone - meeting someone whatever their personal whatevers...who gives a fuck...it could be great. go for it for sure.

Take it one day at a time. Its like two geminis in one household, four personalities just do mix. But who I am I speak on love. Love my solitude.

i'm reading "loving someone with bipolar". the woman who wrote it is BP and married to a BP and she talks about how her marriage worked. it's like any other relationship, if you are complimentary for each other and committed to working things out, there's a chance. there are never any guarantees with anything. love is all about risks. i would say take it one day at a time and try to get all the support you can. You never know who God has chosen for you and neither does anyone else.

This issue will plague you daily for the rest of your life! Not that what i just said is particularly comforting, but sometimes things are easier to handle when we know it aint gonna change. I am BP and am married to a normie- & like u said- i think he gets me more than anyone else ever could. Then, i have a bad day and he tells me that he cant take the cycling, and he doesnt understand cuz he doesnt go thru it... blah blah blah- the downside here is that after 10 yrs and a child, he has told me more often than i like to admit that if we ever split, it will be over my illness. I think sometimes I would be better off with another BP, cuz even if we cycled 2gether, or were opposite- the other person could be major support and less critical- cuz they'd actually be able to say they'd been there.
