I have been on Lamictal for almost 5 weeks now and am up to 100mg a day. I had the bug crawling skin feel the day I went up to 100mg Day 29 but it went away and was much less intense the next day (day 30). Last night while working up a sweat sweeping and mopping I felt what I would call prickly heat on my shoulders. I looked at my shoulders and back later and it looked like I had a acne break out (no unusual around Halloween with all the candy around) or the beginings of a rash. I know a rash a bad side effect from Lamictal so I stopped by my Pdoc's office at lunch, he wasn't in but 3 other Pdoc's were in the office-they each have thier own practice that run out of the same office. I asked the receptionist if one of the doctors could take a look at my back and she said that my doctor had to do that and call back at 2pm. I left really and am very upset. I don't have the money to run to the emergency room and really can't be away from work right now. I am now going to have to take the last 2 hours off of work and hope my regular doctor will fit me in and pray he won't charge me because he is not on my new insurance. I am justified to be pissed off and should I look for a new Pdoc?
Thanks for any insight.
Also I am using a new laundry detergent and this was the first time I sweated while wearing clothes wash in it so that could also be the cause of the rash. The real bitch is the Lamictal seem to have been working really well and I just paid for a 90 day prescription that I really couldn't afford.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

I hope thats all it is, for your sake. Finding another pdoc is time consuming, difficult and well, 6 of one half dozen of the other. Try to keep this bozo, they're all alike.
