I've been diagnosed and on meds for 8 months and nothing seems to get better. I still go up and down when I am able to feel something. Other times I am so flat I just remain emotionless. The side effects from all the meds put me in a depression by itself. I just switched to Depakote and I didn't like those side effects so I ditched all my meds. It's been a week and I know it probably wasn't the smartest decision, but my doctor won't give me any other meds to try except tegretol, (I've been on lamictal, lithium, seroquel, and depakote) because I'm a rapid cycler and its not smart for whatever reason. I don't think that by suddenly being on lamictal lithium and tegretol things would magically work out, so I said screw it. How do y'all deal with this? Is it ever good to stop meds?
