Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I have been told doing this too often is not good for the brain. Let's go eat a snack and take our meds together! :-)
so That I remembered to take it. Its a good habit too try and take your meds the same time each day
In fact, have to sort them today...thx for the reminder!
The pillbox thing never worked for me... my meds are right by my bed, and I'm supposed to take them right before I go to bed so that the side effects don't bother me so much. That's a special kind of stupid. My lithium is by my bed, by my birth control, which I DO remember to take, but I forget to take the stupid lithium. What an idiot:)
You're better on the meds than off, really. You need to keep certain levels up, if only just to keep yourself in the habit of taking them. I was on Wellbutrin at one point... hated it and didn't take it for that specific reason. Plus it made my hair fall out when I took it with the Topomax.
How about we all try to be more responsible? If only for the good of society as a whole (or at the very least, those around us:))
