My psych dr wants me to have this procedure done. I am serously thinking of doing it. It involves surgry. They put a pace maker like device above the left breast with wires that lead to the vagus nerve. They then set it to a certain pulse. It sends little shocks (I guess thats what they call it) to the nerve. The vagus nerve leads into your brain. They believe this is the part of the brain that causes bipolar. Has anyone had this done or heard of it?
