I have always had MAJOR anxiety about returning items. Before i een leave the house I think that the customer service person knws i will be coming and that he/she has my life in their hands, to ruin.

I will know the return policy and i know i have the right to return the item and i know the rep is just there to ccept returns but i instead see some person who is judgin me. and i get scared.

I can't afford to go manic shopping. The fact that I'm buried under so much debt keeps me on the depressive side anyway.

Besides, I used to shoplift, not shop... lol

oh no! The dreaded manic shopping! I have done that this week and now I have no money! I think I have a magazine fetish.... eek! I have never returned my items... I just keep the stuff.

I am the Queen of buying and returning! I get a kick out of it. Because you get the satisfaction of frenzied shopping, imagining all those endless possibilities of where you might wear those fabulous outfits-and then a couple days later, take it all back!

Yeah, It's like the end of the world as we know it, to return anything. I have bought so much crap I don't even know where to start. It's not like I have alot of cash either. I work part time as a medical billing instructor at a private college.

i have done the same, to learn to hae trust in the world - bought allot and then known i could return it - but it suck s if an anxiety attachk comes o and then i delay in returning the items bcs of some irrational fear.

Being without a job at the moment, it sucks because I can't afford to do Christmas shopping for anyone else. But at the same time it's kind of a blessing because that means I can't afford to Christmas shop for myself either.

I have never been good at returning what I buy when manic (and I've bought a lot). I have the same embarrased feeling. Really, why would anyone need to return 15 simiilar shirts? Can I explain why I needed all of them? No. So I often just try to see it as a speed trial game. The game is: I grab the stuff I know I should return, I stand outside the store, then I tell myself that all I have to do is run inside give it back. I tell myself that I can be done in 10 minutes.When I get inside I try to say as little as possible; I just say I need to return everything. Honestly, it works a lot of the time. For me the hard part getting inside the store. But in the end, most store clerks could care less. If I get someone who clearly doesn't want to help me, I leave. But when I win the game, when I actually get my money back for things I didn't need; I feel fantastic. Try it: 10 minutes. See if you can't make the returns.
