does anyone here actually eat the way that the doctors say we should? i mean for the most part. a peice of cake or a candy bar every now and then never hurt anybody.
but if you do eat right, do you think that it really does help your mental illness?
and excersise? i know that is sopossed to help, but how much do you have to do before you start getting the benifits? and i'm not even talking about the physical ones. i'm talking about the ones that make you feel better.
also, does anybody know about what kind of vitamins we bioplars should be taking?
i'm just at this point in my life where i'm finally realizing that i Am an adult and need to start taking care of myself. so i'm wondering what works for who? to try to get some ideas about what might work for me.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Multivitamin. Bunches of water. I walk 2 miles a day. I was sedentary prior to that for a couple of years. And I just dove right in. So it can be done. I dove into 2 mile walks. Didn't work up to it, just DID it.
as far as excersising goes, i can't do toomuch right now becase of my blood clot in my lung. like i can't even walk a few city blocks with out feeling like i'm going to colaspe. so, i'm going to start getting on the tredmil a few times a week since it's at my house which is a safe place and i can sit down if i need to. and at first i'm going to start at a slow pace for like ten minutes. and then try to increase the pace and amount of time i stay on it every week.
i'm really going to give it my all to quit smoking for good in about thre weeks.
earlier tonight, my doctor told me that he wants me to get an mri done and go to some heart doctor to get some kind of moniter to wear. so i'm going to try not to worry about that too much. i'm going to try to stay possitive.
and i'm thinking i'm going to start buying some more fruits. i Love fruits. but my Mom doesn't always buy them becaue most of the time her budget for grocerys is limited. so i'm going to start buying some myself.
and i'm going to ask my psyc doctor when i see her on friday about some of the vitamins that you all mentioned and see if it would be ok to take along with the meds i'm on.
so thank you all.
