so i've been having a pain in the left side of my stomake since feburary. after about two weeks it got so bad that i thought something was about to burst, so i went to the hospital. but all they could tell me in the er was that i wasn't diying.
since then, i've gone to my doctor several times begging them to figure out what's wrong becuae i'm tired of being in pain. (this is a family health clinc assosated with the hospital) but they just keep not listening to me. the last time i went the doctor had a nerve to say that it was from depression. I HAVEN'T BEEN DEPRESSED ALL YEAR. i just hate it when doctors look at your chart and see that you're bipolar so they decide anything you say must be because you're crazy and that you can't possible have something physically wrong with you.
has anyone else had this happen. or is it just me?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Our illness tends to be one that has typical IBS, gas, ulcers etc.
I googled just now and was surprised to tfind this site

Good Luck!
EXACTLY the same thing with me! I've had lower abdominal pain since January along with other issues. I've seen a number of specialists and was even admitted to the hospital for 4 days for that and other issues. Have had 4 ultrasounds in 6 months with nothing to show.
I saw a Urologist as I was having issues with that as well, and she actually said the issue could be related to depression. Well, it could, but I haven't been depressed all freakin' year!
It pisses me off to no end girlfriend, so I am soooo with you! I feel like just because I'm BP everyone treats me like I'm an idiot and everything is in my head!
I say go with your gut feeling. That's what I do...I've kept pushing. But, alas, I'm tired. And, the pain is bearable right now. So, I've stepped back and hope it will go away. Because nobody listens anyhow.
Of course, a few people are thinking I may have ovarian cancer with all the symptoms I have. I'm going to see my PCP this week to take a blood test to determine if that's it.
I wish you LOTS of luck. I think many of us need it when it comes to Dr.'s and not being treated like we're stupid.
HUGS!
