I find it is a natural response to reach out and help someone when they need it. At times I put myself on the back burner to do so but I find it odd to get the response of why are you being nice to me.

And when you are the nice person, it hurts to be slapped in the face for doing what comes natural---at least that is what I have heard from the nice people!!!
