Do you always follow your psychiatrist's advice?
I usually do. When he put me on a low dose of Seroquel and said to increase after 2 weeks, I increased it after one week in order to see results faster, and that's when I got akathisia. I wonder if it would've made a difference if I waited the extra week? Would I still have eventually developed akathisia?
Now I'm thinking of doing the same but with Abilify. He started me at 2 mg in the mornings until our next appointment which is 3 weeks from when I started the Abilify (which was last Wednesday). So I was thinking I could increase 4 mg total in the mornings starting this coming Wednesday or the following Wednesday – one or 2 weeks after starting. Or should I wait until I see my psychiatrist in 3 weeks? If I make the increased dose ahead of time, I will have more to report and maybe feel better faster.
The only side effects have experienced so far include mild occasional drowsiness, occasional mild nausea, occasional mild headache, possible constipation mild because of low dose, a couple of episodes of a neurological shock reaction in which my whole body jerked being electrocuted – although I've never been electrocuted :-). So far so good.
Please share your thoughts with me… Thanks

I am assuming it will take a couple...
