I accidentally put this in as for advice but i want some feedback discussion on disabilty. With my recent demise of not be able to work out of the home b/c of BP. Is BP recognized as a Disabilty to be filed for for benefits?

Yes. Talk to your doc, he'll need to fill out papers for you.

Yes, you can receive disability if the illness keeps you from working. Your Psychiatrist and/or social worker must fill out the papers for you..

Thanks so much! I need to make an appt asap. i don't know how they calculate how much you would get bc i haven't worked in a long time.

I am currently now on disability. After going through everything it took about 1 1/2 yrs to get it. Good Luck!!

I believe SS takes your last five yrs of highest pay to calculate your monthly pay check. Yes! it does take a yr or two before getting it. Some people have to go to court, and some people do not. It all on how your psychiatrist writes it up for you.

yes i am currently awaiting my ss disabilty for it and was put out of the army with service-connected bp at a 100% VA disabilty rating

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
