THis is non BP related but I think very important. I was just given a letter from my manager of my apartment complex with pictures included. It was of a little boy maybe 5 or 6 that had suffered sever burns from the Magic Eraser cleaning sponge. Apparently they contain some very dangerous chemicals that if rubbed on the skin can cause sever burns. The 5 year old suffered from burns on his cheaks and forarms. The poison control center told her that this has happened to many people and walked her throught stopping the burn and then took a trip to the hospital.
The packages have no lable on them that state that they can cause such burns and that they need to be used with care. They have no smell and do not list any ingrediants (yet any way) they look like harmless sponges. Please be careful when using them and apparently dont let kids use them unsupervised. I dont know how much rubbing or contact with the skin you have to have to get the burns as I have used them and love them much. But then I dont rub them on my skin either.
I just wanted to pass the info around so that our little ones could stay safe from an item that seems so harmless.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am thinking from the pictures that the little boy rubbed them on his cheaks... which is not far off for a kid to do. He had colored on his arms and was rubbing the sponge on his arms as well. I am guessing you have to acutally rub a bunch but its still better to be safe then sorry
Plus adults dont tend to rub the sponges on the more sensitive areas like faces or forearms.

Since it covers two stories in one it inaccurately says false at the top of snopes.. it should be false for the first part and true for the second.
