Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
my answer is YES! has helped me during mania not to LOSE IT!! I'm thinking of going through the instruction. Right now, I am very depressed and am lucky if I can do anything so I don't see it being helpful now. I just can't apply it right now.
I was very relucate to try it and three weeks in something clicked.
To discover that the way had reacted to situations and events in my life up to that time had been unreasonable was scarey, but I stuck with it and am glad that I did.
Babysteps are the only way to approach this course and also with the attitude that it might just help with things.
You am very well have to do the course more than once but it is enlightening and truely worth the effort.
Best wishes and good luck.
It is basically life skills...and very effective. Originally developed for those with bpd, it was later on determined to be very effective for people with depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders.
