Hello, I'm fairly new to the community and have been reading most of the blogs.
I was just wondering if any one has had a similar situation to mine.
Before being diagnosed Bipolar about 4 mmonths ago I used to be OCD about my bills. I would constantly check my buget and check my bank account 3-4 times a day.
Then I started taking one of my meds and (can't remember which one, have changed a few diffrent ones) and I totally didn't deal with them at all.
Then I started to do it again. I'm starting to get the OCD aboout checking the budget and the bank.
I have gotten a progem for my home computer to work on the budget and have recently gotten my husband more involved in the bills. He had asked me when we first got married to do the bills I was much more organized and could keep him in check about not spending so much. No big deal. Once I started doing this my stress leevell went throug the roof. But me being me I took it all and didn't worry him with any of the problems I was having until after it was to late and I was litteraly going crazy with the stress.
Long story short (sorry if I'm rambling)
Has any one at one point or another had this problem? about the forgetting all together then you realize that your behind on the bills??????
I feel so alone in this.
I always want to fix everything and do everything to make everyone else happy even if I have to strech the bill money to do it. Anyone else?
Thanks for the support.
Ron

Not advice, but yes, I forget many important things. I have had to ask my wife to handle all the bills because if not I would spend us into the poor house. If you have been dx with BP you really need to get some help when it comes to money. I have been divorced because of this. I remember walking through the store looking for some crazy stupid thing that I HAD TO HAVE, and at the same time almost in tears because I was spending to much money. It did not matter I had to have these specialized head phones. Rather than stop and leave I went ahead and bought them. I would try and find someone you trust implicitly and ask them to help you figure your finances out (preferably your husband, but a close family member or friend is good). I know this is not the same, but w/ this disorder money is a Grand Avenue straight to Hell.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
