I have a huge family and I don't have much money this yr to spend on gifts. I usually go all out but can afford to this year. I am not a good baker so I don't think making cookies will work. Any other cheap Ideas that won't make you look like a cheap skate? I know it is the thought that counts. But I have a yuppie family you could say. I don't want to look like a loser. My hubby is fine by the way. He is just passed out.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Reprint a special family portrait in a different style, like brown. Then put them in $1 picture frames.

Be as creative as you like! I buy old cards at yard & flea sales or thrift shops, and cut them up for pictures...write or type the stories, whichever you prefer...basically, make a little book!
This year, instead of giving Christmas cards to my family I'm going to give them a little DVD of me wishing them merry Christmas and a few other stuff. Thats just for my immediate family.
PJ's usually go on sale, candles, books (hit the clearence racks), ebay always has good deals, OH ..what about those coffee mugs they do at the malls that you can put you and your kids, or families pics on. I can't think clear right now.

I also stenciled flour sack material again at walmart in Kitchen Towel mit section for 8 set of 5 and stenciled with fabric paints. I did Sunflowers on them

Never mind the cookies!!! Make candies!!! There's lots of really easy, yet good, candy recipes!!! The last time I did this, a few years back, I went to one of the local candy shops -- Fannie May -- and bought the little paper candy cups from them! They were really cheap.
One of the easiest candies to make is microwave fudge. Put 1 pound (3 cups) of semi-sweet morsels and 4T (1/2 stick) butter into a microwave safe bowl and nuke till chocolate is PARTIALLY melted. (That's the ONLY thing you have to be careful of in this recipe. You don't want the chcolate to burn.) Take it out and stir till smooth. If it isn't melted enough to do this, put it back in and zap it for about another 15 seconds. Once it's smooth, add 1 14oz. can of sweetened, condensed milk, and a tsp. of vanilla. Mix well. Stir in a cup of nuts, if you want.
Pour into an 8" square pan and let cool. Cut into little squares, and put them into the little paper cups.
This makes a dynamite fudge!!!!!
