Recently, there have been videos supporting various charitable donations, bringing their cause to the forefront, which I think is Great.
In the past, I have donated to this, donated to that, etc., only LATER to find out that their rate of return (actualy dollars spent for the cause versus administrative costs) was very low (70% or so) or that too much of the dollars donated went to expensive fundraisers to get more dollars donated, etc. (I gave $5K to my church for some much needed renovations; the priest and 2 others went on a misstion to Guatemala with that $5K and then came back with a passel of photos, asking for more dollars. I felt it was a very unwise use of the money.)
Given that I have limited dollars to donate to charity, I am wanting to come up with some guidelines to choose among the many to get the most bang for the buck, so to speak.
Any of you have guidelines that you use (aside from personal ones like a relative with it, etc.)?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
