Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. So when I want frustration-free solitaire, I pull out a computer version and play that. It's not the one that comes shipped with Windows, cause that's as much of a pain to use as Windows, and I don't use cards. Freecell with real cards can be tedious.
But if you don't mind losing, Klondike's always fun. I think there are a few others that aren't too bad.
I play Sudoku as well, but I have a mind that is compatible with Sudoku, and your mileage may vary.
Sometimes I just doodle to pass the time, mostly just scribbles. All it takes is a pencil and paper, or a pen, and you just scribble. Watch out if you're in a bad mood, that you put something between your paper and the table you're using, if you like the table at all.
