I was just wondering can major depression turn into Bipolar? I had depression first when I was five years old to eight then fron thirteen to sixteen and it turned into major depression by sixteen. However when I was about nineteen I noticed that I was getting high moods with my depression. Now at 21 Iv'e been getting more and more hypomanic episodes. So have I simply turned from being clinically depressed into bipolar? I'm going to be diognosed in december. The highs disrupt sleep and the way I interact with other people.Iv'e been spending sprees,my sences are hightened and I feel like a energizer bunny and go non stop and feel so awesome! Then I crash into suicidal depression.

I am 27 now and my doctor says that it could have been a lot less if I was taking pill at six years old which is when he figures that it all started and I am sure that he thinks he is right but I think that it is our life that makes us the way that we are and if your depression has turned it to bp maybe you should take in to consideration the place that you are in right now and if it is right for you or not and if not maybe that is what is making you so sad.
