After many, many years (22 to be exact) of suffering with significant depression I have recently been diagnosed with Bipolar II. I had been taking Cymbalta and Buspar for a number of years with some mild relief. After my diagnosis my Doctor has tried me on Lamictal which had bad side effects on my heart rhythm. I'm now taking Depakote and am getting some relief. The next step is to get me off of the Cymbalta. I stopped taking it 4 days ago and this is the first time in over ten years that I haven't taken an anti-depressant. Does anyone else of any experiences with Bipolar II and anti-depressants?
