This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I already posted this on Morgaine's thread but I would like to mention that people are misled if they think having Bipolar 2 is somehow not as bad or quite as serious as Bipolar 1 because we don't experience full blown mania. My bipolar 2 is just as hateful and devestating as bipolar 1 when I'm stuck on the sofa unshowered, teeth not cleaned and can only get up to feed my kids snacks which can last for weeks. I'm never "normal" always on the depressed side. So prehaps we can all agree whether bipolar 1, 2 or 3 it impacts our lives equally. IMHO

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
As far as I can tell, the ONLY diff is that with type II, you don't hear voices or see things that aren't there. In all other respects, they are identical. BTW, when did they come up with a type 3? Or is that the NOS type?
BP 1 does not neccessarily involve auditory or visual hallucinations. The only time it happened to me was if it was drug induced. (See zoloft without stabilizers.)
1,2, cyclothalmia, unipolar. They are all facets of the same thing. That is why we are here.
I'd give my right arm to feel unstoppable and on top of the world every now and then.
I realize it's no party for Type 1 but it's like it would be more of a cyclic relief.
haha.
It's always best resolved in a Boxing Ring.
The one that stays furthest in their corners wins.
Or hangs themselves with 'creative' use of the ropes.
Ding Ding !!
Look, I'd say schizophrenia is in some ways 'worse' than bp, it's all relative. But it's silly to say bp1 isn't worse than bp2. Oh, ask any pdoc, btw.
Gee, living with the threat of suicide hanging over your head day in day out isn't a picnic people! Depression is debilitating...hence no shower, no toofie brushing, no eating, no getting dressed, no getting out of the house, no going to work, no talking, no reading NO NOTHING.
And exactly what is going on here....a pissing contest as to who's illness is worse than the others?
We are ALL suffering, what's the diff?
