Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Read some of the God posts and some of the Aetheist posts and didn't feel I belonged responding to either.
I don't think there's a huge white-haired old man up there "watching over us", yet I don't think life is simply a silly accident.
How about we look at what science has been discovering in recent years..how there is an intelligence or consciousness in even the tiniest particles (that's not the right word...even smaller than particles is more correct). That is where I think you can find a "sense" of God.
In other words, God is you, and you and you, and in every single thing you can see and everything that you can't see. If you really consider the word "infinity" both up and down, then you can get a sense of God. Not in church, certainly not in the bible, and most definitely not in ANYTHING that is "separate" from you.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
very well said blue... and as valid as any of the other posts.
To me, it sounds like a spiritual approach versus a specific religion one. And again, I am a fallable human being, so I hope this isn't misunderstood....
I believe in one creator.
I do not claim to know all things and I pity those that do so.
I love people and will never let anyone stop me from learning or sharing.
God Bless the Beepers
BTW, it didn't post my funny comment on the end saying "me ---getting off my pulpit"
1. you're off topic completely
2.no-one i've seen on these boards claims to know everything
3.you say you pity people and then say love people, i think you're on the wrong board, try multiple-personality ;)
4.should do more learning, which involves questioning your beliefs then try sharing not the other way around
junggl - which buddhist tradition are you referring to?
How about the Atheists, be Atheists; the Christians, be Christians; the Muslims, be Muslims; the Jews, be Jews; and the New Agers, be New Agers and let's all have a big fight to see who's right. Oh, wait, that's what is happening, okay, forget it.
And I resent being categorized as a "new ager"...I'm just a person, like the rest of us...no categories for me except for maybe bipolar! :-)
to be honest,I quite enjoy these posts, not because I agree, but because all the beepers (moi included) getr stirred up over it and actually post how they feel.....
good for you blue always nice to see an alternate viewpoint
With the help of the creator of course.
In answer.. although I shouldn't indulge but I will:
1:You completely miss the point if you think my post is unrelated to the main theme of this topic. Whew!
2:Someone who is a "know it all" likes to proclaim without evidence that their side is the only side of a debate. Closed minded people do this.
3: My thoughts are constantly evolving as I learn from history, data bases/libraries, and experience...and apply what I've learned to my progression in all aspects of my life... in hopes that I do not repeat the same mistakes. I learn from my mistakes in other words.
Lastly, caged, I hope you listen to the ideas of others to the point where you feel something other than the compulsion to bash people like myself who have an obvious intelligence.
Peace and Health be yours.
My opinion, is that no one has any right to tell anyone else how to think or what to believe.
The god and aetheist posts brought that point to a head for me. Just trying to find a middle ground so maybe we can all just get along? LOL
A bunch of BP'ers get along? Now THAT would be Utopia! :-)
