Before I was ill I used to drink, take drugs etc.It suited me as I wasn't alcoholic or addicted, I was just out for a party and often it would be free cos of the work I was in.
Now
However, the difficulty is in socialising with friends that have known me for ages.
When I do go out, aside from the obvious BP hang-ups, it's always easy to drink again.Tolerance was high so I'm on the shorts in no time.
It's stupid, it inhibits my meds and fucks my head.England is based on the drinking culture. There is a pub on nearly every road where I live.
Friends find it difficult NOT to buy a drink for me."JUST an OJ!!"
I'd like to be wrecked again just for one fucking night but...nah.It's like I was looking to get out of my head all the time. That's impossible now.
I don't want to avoid friends in order to avoid alcohol so I stick to being good.
What do you do.In order to remain faithful to your illness and it's demands?
