I've seen quite a bit of discussion regarding the recent changes to the site about more ads on the site. Interestingly, I haven't really seen any real comments in the threads regarding this about ad blocking. I happen to use Firefox as a browser and I have Ad Block Plus as an add on and the only thing I see is "Advertisement" at the top and the rest blank because of the add on has blocked it. I am also aware that across the net there are several ad blocking programs free of charge many of which can be used with various browsers including Internet Explorer. I recognize that Doug has made comment that he and site administrators are looking into possibly making changes again regarding the use of advertising. I cannot help thinking though in the meantime why site users cannot simply use a ad blocking software of some type for the browser they use. Admittedly, it will not give back the space lost to the ad space; however, it would eliminate having to view the ads on the interim. The software can easily be located by typing "free ad blocking" into any search window address. Merely a suggestion.

My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
