I sometimes wonder if there is a way to see if people in the bp group have also signed up for groups associated with receiving abuse.
Do you think a lot of people with BP have been abused in some one or another?
Is there a correlation?
I know i was raised in an abusive family and have been sexually abused. Anyone else?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
how did you learn that?
BP is far more individual than that
In my case it would definitely apply...and even for those people who don't think it does apply, there is always the possiblity they are in denial about their abuse and don't remember it.
Some people (medical and psych professionals) think BP is all biological - entirely caused by chemical imabalance in the brain. (nature)
And others think it is largely due to the aftermath of suffering abuse. (nurture)
I think it is impossible to tell, in this case, which came first, the chicken or the egg, unless you could backtrack through generations and find out which started first, and you can't do that.
