I've talked of my 4 year old niece, Grace, before and my sister's jackass boyfriend, Patrick. My niece and sister used to live with my parents. They have a large home, so basically my sis and niece had their own wing, so to speak. Then, my sister met Patrick and a few months into dating, she moved in with him, along with Grace of course. Now, they've all moved into a house much further away and have a one year lease. My mom takes care of Grace during the day while my sister is at work. What worries me is that every night when my sister comes to pick Grace up, she sobs and says "I don't want to go to Tomball. I want to stay here." Tomball is a community just outside of Houston. This child calls my mom nearly nightly and last night she was crying the entire time she was on the phone. Patrick is a control freak. Grace has told me she doesn't like him or Tomball. I told her tonight she was entitled to her feelings. This little 4 year old is so smart she says to my sister, "Sammy says I'm right about not liking Tomball." I told my sister what I really said but in my estimation, my sister is putting this controlling jackass ahead of her child. What can I do? I have no kids so therefore, most parents would say it's none of my business. But my concern is for my niece. I know my sister and how selfish and manipulative she it. My mom says maybe Grace needs time to adjust. But watching her little self cry every day when she has to leave is heartbreaking. FYI, I live in the house next door to mom and dad. That's how I know what goes on. Can I do anything or should I wait it out? My hope is that my sister will tire of this jerk's controlling "all about me" ways and move on. Advice?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
