Has anyone ever seen a simulation that shows a 4 dimensional object rotating in 3 dimensions? It uses stereovision, similar to 3D glasses. There are two shapes on the computer screen that are drawn to appear 3 dimensional (like drawing a box on a piece of paper). They are each rotating but seem strange. So, you look in between them and align your focus as if you were looking far beyond the screen (kinda like the magic eye posters). Eventually, the two objects merge and become a holographic image that spins between your nose and the computer screen.
So, if it were a 4 dimensional box rotation in 3 dimensions, you would see a box floating outside your computer that imposible changes shape as it spins.
Check it out. It's a simple, low tech, cheap thrill.

Our great friend OlderC could really use some love and support right now... She's hit a rough patchBig squishy hug Kat... I hope that you start to feel better really soon.... xo
I can imagine that seeing that would feel like all my fears were eliminated, all my hopes were answered, feeling like my life was important and meaningful, mankind was important and meaningful- all while starring at the most beautiful thing imaginable.
If you find that 3d-4d thing, check out bugman123.com (it might be 23 instead of 123). This math geek, like myself but much smarter, put some fractals on this site. If you don't know that by name, you will know one when you see it. These pictures are generated by a single mathematic equation and are related to chaos theory.
I'd love this too.Thanks.Anything beautiful in science really.
I belive that quantum theory made me bipolar when I was 17. The saying is, "if you think you understand it..then you don't"
Where is the particle when it's tunnelling through a barrier? My professor said that's a question we're not allowed to ask:)
Pluck, see if you can google an experiment a guy is planning soon. He is going to entangle two electrons or photons, send them through a modified double slit apparatus and try to send one of them backward through time.
No joke, serious science.
It's beautiful how the History Of Science unfolded up to now.
It's awesome
