Bi-polar makes me very sick all around, physical, mentally, etc.....
I can barely function to any kind of level whatsoever.
Beyond meds, I hear that psycotherapy is helpful but that is so not my style and have a terrible anxiety dissorder. But it still might help me if I went.
I literally feel retarted with bi-polar.
It is like I have an actually retardation of the brain.
Then I feel horrendously physically ill all the time like I have the flu. Terrible body and leg aches. Almost deabilitating.
What do you do?
How do you overcome this........
Plus it causes so much friction in the family life.
Help anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You just seem to have too much going on for just a simple thing to be the answer to your problems. I think working it out in therapy might really surprise you.
Good luck to you....

But there are also a plethora of Bipolar workbooks at your disposal both online and at the library. There is also group therapy but again if you are not up to social interaction then that limits you. You will be surprised how easy it becomes once you face the fear of anxiety and agoraphobia and step out into the world to get help.
I find Knowledge is also the best weapon so reading books with depth about the Disorder also helps you to further recognize all of the factors which can exacerbate the disorder and cause the feelings you are experiencing. Rest assured you are not retarded and how you feel is quite common; it does get better when we put in the work.
I hope that helps. Cheers!
Have you had a second opinion? (which might evaluate your med regime)
I'm guessing that most who are having severe trouble with their mental illness wouldn't even have the wherewithal to find DS/support...form coherent thoughts etc.
Range of experience, I mean. Your experience/feelings are valid is all I mean.
Like DD said...there can be so much fallout.
