What is your occupation? How do you balance work and bipolar? Have you told employer/ co-workers? Do you work full or part time? I am now returning to work following a 10 week loa. I am a cashier at walmart. I am planning to reduce my hours from 40 to 33. I need to keep a certain amount of hours to be eligible for insurance, but don't want to push myself and jeopardize my health. I want to try to have same shift every day since staying on a routine seems to be crucial to managing my symptoms. What are your experiences?

I remember how much I thought I had bipolar, I honestly still go happy sad happy sad happy sad every once in a while, not even realizing I’m doing it half the time. It runs pretty bad in our family, just any mental illnesses, really. My parents both take medicine, my mom’s bipolar and so is her dad, my grandfather. Things like that. I remember telling the doctor how my mood would go like that...
