I'm new to the group. My husband was on his way to work May 23rd when he had an accident in his truck, unfortunately he passed away. I've gone through all the what ifs and nothing makes since. His birthday was 2days before, he turned 45. I'm 41. We have an 19 and 18 yr old daughter and an 11 yr old son. We lost our 19 yr old son in an accident 2 yrs ago. So to say the least, I'm lost! After reading several posts here, I see that my feelings are "normal" . However, I don't know how to live without my best friend, husband, my everything. We're in a grief group that meets weekly and individual counciling. Sometimes it just doesn't like it's enough.
I'm on day two with no cigarettes. I have nicotine gum but I haven't used it. I wasn't planning on quitting but I have no money to buy cigarettes so I am cold turkey. I'll probably cave when I get paid again and buy a pack but I'm the meantime, does anyone have any advice on how to fight the withdrawals? I know a few of you are former smokers so any tips or tricks?
